Holidays, Cakes, Desserts, Family, Friends and Gifts All Make the Holiday Season so Special!

So Doreen recently met Jeanette at a local Sassy networking event hosted by Chrystal Bougon. Jeanette needed people to know about her cakes, cookies and birthday cakes, she understood that to get people to love her desserts, she needed a larger audience to taste them, this is where Chrystal’s networking event came in. Now the funny thing is that Doreen doesn’t like sweets or chocolates. (I know, something must be wrong with her but it saves me money on not having to buy chocolates on Valentine’s Day each year).

What intrigued Doreen about Desserts by Jeanette was the passion that she showed for her baking and decorating skills. “I saw that she made the cutest and coolest looking cakes for kids and adults,” said Doreen; thinking that now her two babies will be celebrating their birthdays early next year.

It was tres leches Pumpkin cake that got Doreen hooked!

It wasn’t until Shawn Parola’s open house for All The Buzz Gift Baskets that Doreen tasted Jeanette’s tres leches Pumpkin cake and fell in love with it.  Again, Doreen actually hates Pumpkin pies so for her to love this cake was a surprise.  She ordered the big cake which Jeanette was kind enough to deliver since busy mom Doreen was not able to pick it up.  The cake was there two days before Thanksgiving and Doreen was already digging into it.  Now with Christmas around the corner, she is trying to give herself another reason to order this cake.

Jeanette is a small business owner who loves her skill and her job.  Her desserts don’t only look good but taste good. She can apply your company logo to cookies as giveaways which is excellent for appreciating your clients during the holidays.

I’ve always love being creative, but it wasn’t until about six years ago that I started exploring my creativity a bit further. I began painting, sculpting, and creating works of art with the natural sea glass I found at our local beaches. In January 2008 I decided to bring my love of painting, sculpting and baking all together. I started baking desserts, cakes and decorating cakes for my family and friends.

I found local classes specializing in baking, cake decorating, chocolate making, catering, and even fruit bouquet design. I love the joy it brings people, and especially kids, when they see the cakes and desserts I have created just for them and their special events.
